How it works
Pick a side. Watch the match. Sell or hold.
Stadeo works like a stock market for one football match. You buy the result you believe in, the price moves with the game, and it all ends at the final whistle.
In three steps
It takes a minute to learn.
- 01
Pick a side
Every match has three choices: home win, draw, or away win. Buy the one you think will happen. Each starts cheap, at 50 cents.
- 02
Watch the price move
When people buy a side, its price goes up. When they sell, it goes down. A goal usually sends one side up and the others down.
- 03
Sell or hold
Sell whenever you like to take what it's worth now. Or hold to the final whistle: if your side wins, you share the money in the match.
Two ways to win
Sell higher, or hold the winner.
Sell for more than you paid
You buy a side at $2. Your team scores, lots of people want that side, and the price climbs to $4. Sell, and you've roughly doubled your money, whatever happens next.
Hold the winner to the end
At full time, all the money in the match goes to the people holding the side that won. The earlier and cheaper you bought, the bigger your share.
Try the numbers yourself
If it loses, held tokens pay nothing. Selling locks in the price at that moment, so the two numbers are different bets.
Your wallet
How to fund your wallet
You don't need to connect a wallet: Stadeo makes one for you. Just send USDC to it.
Need help funding your wallet?
Send USDC on Base from any exchange. Noblocks is one way to get USDC on Base. Stuck, or sent on the wrong network? Our team can help.
Outside services, not run by Stadeo.
- 1
Copy your address
Stadeo made a wallet for you when you signed up. Copy its address from the wallet menu at the top of the page, or scan the QR code.
- 2
Get some USDC
USDC is a digital dollar: 1 USDC is always worth $1. Buy it on any exchange, such as Coinbase, Binance or Kraken, get it on Noblocks, or use USDC you already have.
- 3
Send it on the Base network
Choose "Withdraw" or "Send" on your exchange, paste your Stadeo address, and pick Base as the network. Only send USDC.
- 4
Start trading
Your balance updates by itself, usually within a minute. You'll see it at the top of every page.
Withdrawing works the other way round: on the Wallet page, add your own USDC address on Base and withdraw. New addresses can be used after 24 hours, and you'll confirm with your authenticator app.
The rules
The fine print, in plain words.
- One winner
- Only one of home, draw or away wins. That side's holders share everything; the other two pay nothing.
- Prices start at $0.50
- Each one goes up a cent for every token bought, and down when people sell. Nobody sets the price but the players.
- Fair start
- Orders placed in the 10 minutes before kick-off all fill together at kick-off, at one price. Being first doesn't help.
- 3-second wait
- During the match, orders fill 3 seconds after you place them. If something big happens in those 3 seconds, the order is cancelled.
- Pauses for big moments
- Goals, penalties, VAR and red cards pause trading. Orders placed during the pause all fill together when it reopens.
- Selling late costs more
- Selling costs 1% until half time. After that the fee starts low (about 8% at 60') and climbs faster near the end, to 50% at 85'. What late sellers pay goes to the winners.
- Trading stops at 85'
- After that, wait for the result. Only the 90 minutes plus stoppage time count, not extra time or penalties.
- Called-off matches
- If a match is postponed or abandoned, everyone gets their money back, fees included.
